Jeremy began to follow Jesus when he was 8 years old. He admits his faith journey has had many twists and turns since then, but has found Jesus to always be faithful, even when Jeremy feels faithless.
Jeremy came to Community of Hope in 1999 as a Grace College freshman looking for a church family. He became the Associate Pastor of Community of Hope in 2008 and was promoted to Senior Pastor in 2011.
He is passionate about teaching complicated ideas in a simple way for those who want God's power to invade their lives. He loves to teach the Bible, counsel with people, and otherwise live life with people who genuinely want to go on a faith journey with others. He loves to hear people tell their stories, even when God's not done writing the conclusion. He also enjoys helping people discover how to make use of the gifts and abilities God has given them and use them for God's Kingdom.
Jeremy and his wife, Tonya, have been married since 2004. They have five kids: Emma, Isaiah, Hudson, Evie, and Elliott. They like to be outside, play games together, travel, wrestle, read books, and laugh a lot.
Kennedy Goeglein and her husband Jack have been attending Community of Hope since the fall of 2023.
Kennedy began following Christ at a very young age, and grew up attending church with her family in Mishawaka. She has always been passionate about music, beginning to serve on a youth group worship team when she was in middle school, and continues to enjoy serving on a worship team to this day. She graduated from Grace College in 2022 with a degree in Educational Ministry and a minor in Worship Arts. In 2023 she graduated from Grace Theological Seminary with her Master of Divinity in Exegetical Studies.
Kennedy has deep values about the gospel, holistic faith, incorporating care for mental health in ministry, and engaging with hard questions. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, traveling, spending time with her cat, Piglet, and being outside.
One of her favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 23:3-4 “Then I will gather the remnant of my flock… I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply. I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the Lord.”
Sadie Tuckerman recently graduated from Grace College and Theological Seminary with her B.A. in Biblical Studies with a minor in Youth Ministry, and with her M.A. in Local Church Ministry. She has been attending Community of Hope since the fall of 2023!
Sadie is from Defiance, Ohio, where she grew up in the church and began following Christ faithfully in her late childhood. As a teenager, she discovered she had a heart for youth ministry and teaching and discipling others by building relationships and digging into Scripture.
Sadie is passionate about creating safe spaces for others to learn, grow, and simply feel valued and loved, and she is eager to grow in her ministry skills and character here at CofH while building relationships. Sadie enjoys reading, journaling, spending time outside, watching movies, and occasionally playing basketball and crafting.
Sadie seeks to be reminded daily that she has been “made alive” in Christ (Col. 2:13-14), and desires to integrate into her life and ministry the words of 2 Corinthians 4:5-7: “For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.”
